G2 X+Y Series – 2 Axis Gantry System

The robot is an industrial gantry system developed to move welding heads or process equipment precisely and under control along two linear axes within a wide working area.

The system consists of a longitudinal X-axis mounted on the floor and a transverse Y-axis operating on the gantry bridge. While the X-axis enables the system to move along the production line, the Y-axis allows the process equipment to access different workpoints on the workpiece. Thanks to this design, a single robot or process equipment can access a large portion of wide and long workpieces.

The 2-Axis Gantry System significantly expands the robot’s working area in robotic welding, cutting, grinding, and other process applications for long chassis, trailer structures, railcar parts, heavy-duty welded structures, large machine bodies, and workpieces with large surfaces.
