It has been developed specifically for maintenance and repair welding applications. It is used in the joining and filler welding of low- and high-alloyed
steels, high-carbon steels, tool steels, high-speed steels, steels with high
manganese content, and high-strength steels of unknown chemical composition
steels with unknown chemical composition, and steels with poor weldability in joining and filler welding
operations.
The filler metal has high resistance to cracking. It is used to form thick weld beads where low heat input and high
mechanical strength are required.
In multi-pass applications, care must be taken to ensure that the interpass temperature does not exceed 375°C.
