KOBATEK 459 CAST IRON ELECTRODE 2.50 mm × 300, 5 kg package
It is used, in particular, for the repair of alloyed cast irons such as gray, malleable, spheroidal, and Ni-Resist (GG 35, GTS 4506, GTW 4507, GGG
60) and for joining cast iron parts to steel. The weld metal has a Ni-Fe composition,
is easily workable, and exhibits high compatibility with the base metal. Thanks to its bi-metal core wire, it has a high current-carrying capacity. In DC (-) mode, the interpass temperature is kept below 100 °C, making it suitable for cold welding. For thick-walled parts, provided the necessary conditions are met, preheating up to a maximum of 300 °C may be applied. The electrode should be used with AC or DC (-) welding currents.
