KOBATEK 600-B HARD-FILLER ELECTRODE 3.20 mm × 350, 5 kg package
It has a basic-character coating. The filler metal has high toughness and is used in hard-facing welding of alloyed and
unalloyed steels. It exhibits high resistance to abrasive wear, metal-to-metal
friction, and cracking under high-stress operating conditions.
The highest wear resistance is achieved in welding applications with three successive passes.
The precisely adjusted “Cr” content ensures that the filler metal resists moderately corrosive environments.
It retains its hardness at operating temperatures up to It retains its hardness at operating
temperatures up to 500°C. The weld metal can be machined by grinding. The risk of cracks and porosity forming in the
weld is very low.
Hardness: 54–58 HRC Hardening: Cooling in oil or air at 950–1000°C
Annealing: Slow cooling in an oven at 850°C
– Wear surfaces of drilling and crushing equipment in mines
– Cutting edges of excavation machines
– Final weld passes on bucket teeth and claws
– Wear parts of mixers
– Excavator blades
– Guillotine shears
– Filling of cutting edges on cold-work tool steels
– Cement pump augers
– Conveyor augers
– Crusher hammers
– Crusher jaws and cone crushers
– Die-casting molds
– Rollers
Caution!
While a buffer layer is not required for unalloyed steels up to St 70, for alloyed
materials, it is recommended to use Kobatek 301 or Kobatek 315, and for certain special materials,
Kobatek 352 or Kobatek 382 electrodes.
Note: The arc length should be kept short. To minimize dilution of the base metal, it is recommended to work at the lowest possible current value.
A very slight oscillation of the electrode may be applied during welding.
