KOBATEK T-546Co HARD-FACED GAS-SHIELDED FLUX-CORE WIRE 1.20 MM 15 Kg REEL
This is a special alloyed, gas-shielded hard-facing welding wire containing "Fe-Cr-Co-Mo" that, thanks to its low coefficient of friction,
provides high resistance to metal-to-metal wear. In addition to resistance to metal-to-metal wear, the weld metal also provides high resistance to oxidation, fatigue, cavitation, and corrosion wear caused by high operating temperatures.
The resulting weld metal is crack-free and achieves the desired hardness
is achieved in the first pass.
DIN 8555: MF5-GF-45 CRST
Hardness: 46–48 HRC (after welding and in a single pass)
– Marine pistons and valves
– Piston ring grooves
– Hot-cutting blades
– Deburring tools
– Hot-forging tools and dies
– Press tools
– Furnace components
– Piercing punches used in steel pipe extrusion
– Pump components
– Filler surfaces of hot-work tools
– Guide rollers and drive rollers used in continuous casting
The surface to be welded must be clean. Thick-walled parts should be preheated to 300–500°C,
and this temperature must be maintained throughout the filler metal application process. After the welding
process is complete, the parts should be cooled slowly.
