KOBATEK T-552 HARD-CORE, NON-GAS-SHIELDED WELDING WIRE, 2.80 MM, 15 Kg REEL

It is used in hardfacing welding applications designed to protect steels, austenitic steels containing 12–14% manganese, and high-alloy steels
against abrasion wear that occurs in conjunction with impact
and pressure. The weld metal is magnetic and resistant to operating temperatures up to 650°C.
It is particularly suitable for multi-pass hardfacing applications; provided the necessary conditions are met (such as preheating temperature), three consecutive passes can be applied to achieve hardfacing surfaces with a maximum thickness of 10 mm. It produces a very fine and easily removable
slag. No shielding gas is required during welding.

BUFFER LAYER:
It is recommended to use Kobatek T-365 core welding wire as a buffer layer in the filler metal of steels containing 12–14% Mn.
