KOBATEK T-560 HARD-CORE, NON-GAS-SHIELDED WELDING WIRE, 1.60 MM, 15 Kg REEL
Resistant to severe abrasive wear and low-impact shocks, the
Kobatek T-560 is a gas-shielded hard-facing core welding wire that provides a filler metal containing extremely hard primary chromium carbides distributed homogeneously throughout the structure.
It is used specifically for hardfacing manganese steels, low- and high-alloy steels, carbon
steels, and Ni-Hard materials (using a special welding method).
It cannot be cut using flame cutting methods. The resulting hard-facing metal
can only be machined by grinding. Due to its high hardness, the formation of transverse
cracks on the weld surface is natural.
Hardness: 62 HRC
55–57 HRC (1st pass)
58–62 HRC (2nd pass)
The resulting hardness value may vary depending on the type of base material being welded.
The table on the right shows hardness values for hardfacing applications performed on low-alloy steels.
– Grinding hammers in cement plants
– Olive oil mill kernel crushing applications (corrosive environments)
– Coal crusher Ni-Hard rollers
– Crusher hammer rotors and tips
– Sand mixer arms and blades
– Fan blades
– Conveyor screws (brick, coal, wood, cement)
– Slag crushers and crusher jaws
– Separators
– Conveyor chains
– Tines of sand-carrying buckets and mouth surfaces in contact with soil
– Screw conveyors
– Grinder liners
The welding arc should be kept as short as possible. To eliminate the risk of stress corrosion cracking, it is beneficial to apply a pre-heat to the base material before the welding process.
For applications on high-carbon steels, it is recommended to apply a buffer pass using Kobatek T-365 flux-cored wire before proceeding.
The ideal operating temperature is a maximum of 375°C.
