KOBATEK T-570 HARD-CORE, NON-GAS-SHIELDED WELDING WIRE, 1.60 MM, 15 Kg REEL
It is used specifically in hardfacing welding of manganese steels, low- and high-alloy steels, and carbon
steels.
It produces a filler metal that is resistant to severe abrasive wear and contains very hard, homogeneously distributed primary Nb-carbides. It is resistant to operating temperatures up to 450°C. The filler metal also exhibits resistance to low- and medium-intensity impacts
and cannot be cut using flame-cutting methods.
The resulting hardfacing metal can only be machined by grinding. Due to its high hardness,
the formation of transverse cracks on the weld surface is natural. There is no need to use a protective
gas during welding.
Hardness: 60–64 HRC (Hardness value of the pure weld metal)
55–61 HRC (Hardness value obtained in two passes)
– Grinding hammers in cement plants
– Crusher hammer rotors
– Sand mixer arms and blades
– Wear plates and screens
– Pump impellers
– Soil transport augers
– Slag crushers
– Crusher jaws
– Conveyor chains
– Surfaces and teeth of buckets that come into contact with soil
– Screw conveyors
– Guides and sand-retaining plates in sandblasting facilities
The welding arc should be kept as short as possible. Prior to welding,
preheating the base material is beneficial for eliminating the risk of stress corrosion. For applications on high-carbon steels,
it is recommended to apply a buffer pass using Kobatek T-365 cored wire beforehand.
