Luchs 2594 Stainless Steel MIG Welding Wire, 1.00 mm, 12.5 kg
- The sum of Cr + 3.3 (Mo + 0.5 W) + 16 N, known as the Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN), is at least 40, so the weld metal is referred to as “super duplex stainless steel.” This number serves as a semi-quantitative indicator of resistance to pitting corrosion in chloride-containing aqueous environments.
- It is designed for welding Type 2507 superduplex stainless steels, UNS S32750 (forged), UNS J93404 (cast), and similar compositions.
- Electrodes must be dried at 250°C–300°C for 2 hours before use.
