In Turkey, Council of Ministers Decision No. 2010/643, dated June 23, 2010, regarding the environmentally conscious design of energy-related products was published, and sector-specific transformations have begun in accordance with this decision. As part of these transformations, in accordance with the “Communication on Eco-Design Requirements for Welding Equipment” published in the Official Gazette on March 25, 2021, Issue No. 31434 (Supplement), definitions have been established regarding power supply efficiency, power consumption in standby mode, and other matters for all arc welding machines manufactured in Turkey, and standard values that must be complied with have been determined. The MIG500W-YV is a conventional (mains-frequency transformer-based) MIG/MAG gas-shielded welding machine that is fully compliant with the relevant regulation.
