PATON STANDARD TIG-200 WELDING MACHINE
The PATON™ StandardTIG-200 welding unit is optimized for TIG (HF) inert gas arc welding, manual arc welding with MMA-coated electrodes, and semi-automatic DC arc welding with MIG/MAG (when used as a welding set with an external power source). Each of the above methods allows for the use of pulsed current. The “Standard” series device is designed for consumers who require a compact body offering an optimal balance between portability and functionality in a unit with a total nominal current of 200 A. The unit is also suitable for “MMA” welding with electrodes ranging from Ф1.6 mm to Ф5.0 mm and for semi-automatic “MIG/MAG” arc welding with solid wire ranging from Ф0.6 mm to Ф1.0 mm.
The small size of the welding machine allows it to be used for most tasks in the manufacturing sector (field work, workshop work, thin-sheet production, repair and maintenance, agriculture, etc.) The use of a feed inverter unit operating at frequencies in the kHz range significantly reduces the unit’s weight and dimensions by minimizing the size of the transformer in the power unit.
For hazardous conditions, an MMA steady-voltage reduction unit with an on/off option is integrated into the unit. When the welding process is complete, the voltage at the welding terminals is reduced to a safe level of 12 V within 0.1 seconds.
Features and advantages:
High-quality welding and welding safety in the MMA method are ensured by additional functions:
Hot-Start function – ensures optimal weld start quality; premium ignition – during arc ignition, the operating welding current briefly rises from the set operating level to the optimal level. In some cases (when working with a weak power grid or generator), if a corresponding switch is available (as in the “Standard” series), this level can be adjusted manually. Reducing the “Hot-Start” setting to lower current consumption on weak power sources or increasing it on strong power sources makes it much easier to ignite the coated electrode.
The Arc Strength function is used to increase the stability of short-arc burning and prevent the electrode from “sticking.” When a drop of metal detaches from the electrode, the current is automatically increased to a specific level if an appropriate switch is available (as in the “Standard” series). By reducing the Arc Force to lower energy consumption on a weak grid or increasing it on a strong grid, the stability of the arc is further improved.
Anti-Stick function – allows the welder to easily separate the electrode from the workpiece. In the event of a short circuit (if present), the welding current is automatically reduced after a brief interruption. When the electrode is separated from the workpiece, welding resumes automatically.
Thanks to their robust and compact design, Standard Series welding machines are ideal for field work and semi-industrial conditions. The machine’s small size makes it extremely portable. PATON™ welding machines feature a stabilization system, allowing them to be powered by a generator.
It should be noted that the welding parameters align perfectly with the machine’s actual operating parameters, which are defined by the use of high-quality electronic components and meticulous control at every stage of production.
