Luchs NiFe MIG Welding Wire 1.20 mm
It is used in fusion welding and for coating plain carbon steels in applications where corrosion resistance to acids and acid vapors is required.
In the petroleum industry, it can be used for welding pipes and fittings made of similar alloys where corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid is required.
Important notes for the welding process
Care should be taken to weld with low heat input and ensure that the interpass temperature does not exceed 120°C. It does not require any heat treatment before or after welding.
Applications and Properties
- This is a MIG/TIG filler wire used for filler and joining welds on all types of cast iron materials (gray, ductile, and malleable cast iron). The weld deposit has a tough structure and is crack-resistant. It is easy to work with. Shielding Gas (MIG): Argon / Shielding Gas (TIG): Argon
- It is also used to join cast iron materials with unalloyed and high-alloy steels, as well as copper and nickel alloys.
- It offers practical solutions, particularly for filling castings in the automotive industry. The surface to be welded must be prepared and cleaned, and a preheat of 150°C – 250°C must be performed to remove oil, rust, and dirt.
